Trail Directions
The only place to park, that I know, is where the rail trail crosses Pratt Pond Road. There are probably others. Take Abbott Hill Road off Rt 101 in Wilton, follow to end (turning right at four-way intersection to stay on it) then left on Starch Mill Road (dirt) and first left on Pratt Pond Road.

Summary:
The powerlines can get a bit too gnarly for my tastes, with lots of loose rocks. Otherwise, the whole area is terrific.
Rail trail is suitable for beginers, families (just watch it in the sandy spots and road crossings), but experts will find plenty of cool terrain elsewhere in the area.
You need to get permission to swim in the quarry, and I don't know from whom, so stay out.

Recommended Route:
(I created the page, see directions above)

Other recommended trails in the same area:
You can head out from the end of Mitchell Hill (take Abbott Hill Road, and just keep going straight) in Mason or Mile Slip Road in Milford (get a map). There are trails connecting all these areas, more than I could cover in a full day's ride.
