Walker Creek Trail

This is a multi-use trail that makes two loops. From the parking lot the trail leaves to the north or south. This section is a loop about one mile long that has a spur to the longer loop. The spur leads to a paved road near a bridge over the Walker Creek arm of the lake. Here the trail splits going north across the road or east across the bridge and then north onto the trail. Trail is mostly sandy single track. There are a few roots and steps mostly on the one mile loop. At the north end the trail crosses several small creeks that may need to be portaged. This not a technical trail but the sand and length can give a good work out.

Trail Directions	From I-44 go to the Walters exit, head east to Corum. At Corum turn south until you reach Lake Waurika. Just before crossing the lake there is a parking area on the east side. There is a sign for the trail visible from the road, and the trailhead/parking is behind a metal fence.
