If you like being challanged by logs, rocks, roots and hairpin turns, this is the trail for you. The Gorge doesn't have tall hills, so the miles go real fast. Don't let the first mile of trail hazards distract you, The track gets faster as you go.
There are a lot of trails back here. I stay on the red trailblaze as it seems to be the most constistantly marked. No trail maps here, so you're on your own. When you get off at the parking lot, you can take the west trail for a good ride ( facing lake, to the left ). Or you can head east ( right facing lake ) and follow the trail up to the T. Howard Duckett Dam.
From Route 95, take Route 198 (Sandy Spring Road) west at Exit 33. Turn right onto Bond Mill Road. Follow Bond Mill Road to Brooklyn Bridge Road. Turn right onto Brooklyn Bridge Road, then immediately left onto Supple Lane. Follow Supple Lane to the launch site.
When you get out, follow the trail to the left of the parking lot.
Summary: Great for hiking... poor for biking. In the first mile you will have to get off your bike 10 times going over down trees, roots, etc. The following couple miles are better. Very scenic, spacious and private. Great place for dogs... just ask Chase when you see us down there.
Recommended Route: 95/198W/Bond Mill Road/Brooklyn Bridge Road/Supple Lane
Other recommended trails in the same area: Savage, The Pitts, or Avalon

Summary: After logs and roots and fallen trees, i think you can go longer but trails were covered with thorny bushes and vegetation. Wasn't sure if it was the correct trail... anyways, I saw lot of people hiking, fishing, and smoking whatever around park. not sure if trail on right side is horse trail...too narrow and packed with wood for it to be ridden by horse...
Recommended Route: to right facing reservoir. Its really short. but a good workout. lots of logs and roots.
Other recommended trails in the same area: northwest branch....about 7 mile loop .. for beginners and intermediate (on the other side of stream)

Summary: Don't ride it. The dumbasses at Rocky Gorge apperantly forgot to post thise little tidbit on their rules list. I've got to say though, it is a good ride! Maybe some of you law breakers might still want to test it out.
Recommended Route: Yes, Craig is right. Don't ride the trail. I called the Damn operators and confirmed that the trail is bridal only.

Summary: I was suprised to find this trail as I never knew it was back here. There is a nearby horsefarm that uses the trail for excursions into the reservoir. The reservoir is really nice, a prestine lake with miles of singletrak. I had the whole trail to myself. The logs are a bitch so tighten up your chain.
Recommended Route: Found it by accident while at the T Howard Duckket (sp?)park. Drive around back and you'll see Supplee Lane. Follow it till to the end. The trail is to the left of the boatramp.
