, from Park City, UT Summary: Best bet is to pick up a free trailmap at one of the shops in town, then follow this description. Starting at the Sandridge Parking lot near the top of Main St, Head up the Mine Road pavement from the intersection of the Guardsman Pass/Mine Road and Hillside Ave for about 100 yards. Turn left on a dirt road which clims steeply up 50 feet where the 2nd of two lefts appear (within 25 feet). Take the 2nd left singletrack (Rossi Hill Singletrack) and stay on it, ignoring any other intersections. This sweet singletrack will wind around thru aspen groves and thick vegetation, and dumps you out onto the pavement of Royal Street. Go up the pavement 100 yards, and on the left is a road sign which also marks the next singletrack section (Pine Inn) Take this beauty singletrack to the end where it comes out on more pavement near Deer Valley Snowpark lodge. Go past the lodge on the pavement, and look right away for another trail which climbs up east, then contours north to the DeerCrest Security Gate. Go past the Security building and immediately get on another trail (Snow Top) which climbs some switchbacks, than bombs down on the backside to MittRomneys'crib. From here, climb the pavement 200 feet, and go left on the Woodchip Trail(stay straight and on contour) until you come out again on pavement. Go left, down the blacktop to a stopsign. Turn right and look right away for some stairs on the left (handrail) where a singletrack drops off the pavement, winding down to more pavement. Go right here, and head east to the furthest east paved culta-sac, and pick up a dirt doubletrack which goes NORTH 100 feet to a saddle, where a 4-way intersection is. Go downhill (north) from here, dropping down to the Lost Prospector trail,(left) which will contour on the 7000 foot level all the way back to city park, where from here, you pedal up Main Street to a cold beer. This is a good 1.25 hour ride of the best singletrack Park City has to offer. Recommended Route: Start at the top of Main St so you can end up at the local beer making establishment. Other recommended trails in the same area: All Park City singletrack above town.
