Ridden Trail:
Once a week

Summary:
No big hills. A lot of technical challenges. Fun slick rock. Variations can give you some limited single track; a couple of miles of double track.
If you do this trail the right way, it only requires a lower-intermediate skillset to do 99% of it. However, you can change direction on a couple of loops for an advanced skillset rider.

Recommended Route:
It is now more difficult to find the trail due to the phase-3 of the Anasazi Plateau development. Here is the way go: Turn off hwy-9 to the Anasazi Pleateau; Park in the parking lot for hikers/bikers which is located about 1/2 way up the hill; follow the trail; You will pass under a small bridge; turn left immediately before an old cattle corral; Now the tricky part: make a sharp U-turn (to the right and up a few feet) 50-feet before the next bridge you encounter; follow the trail.

Please be aware that the beginning of this trail will be re-routed once again in the next couple of years because it passes right through some very expensive home properties.

Ridden Trail:
Ridden Once

Summary:
Hard to find the trail head to start with. Looked through the directions at www.bikerag.com but wound up going to the bike shop in Springdale after a taking the wrong directions in. Here's the scoop: Turn in the Anasazi subdivision and look for the parking lot almost immediately on your right (road drops down steep). This is the parking area for the hiking trail into Zion. You must then ride your bike through the subdivision following Anasazi all the way until it ALMOST ends (you should be at the edge of the mesa with the drop-off on your right. There will be jeep trails off to the right. Ride any one of these and you should see slick rock within 200 yards. Then start looking for trail markings (paint). Easy to follow once you get on the trail. If you ever run into a barb-wire fence then you know that you took a wrong turn and are about to go into Zion National Park (no bikes allowed).

Summary:
If you're looking for the true goods, this is it. What an awesome spot. The trail was very well marked and easy to follow. As far it being open, the bike shop in Springdale made it clear that it was. Enough said. This trail really is a true gem with all the slickrock features indiginous to this remarkable area. The view plane in virtually every direction is off the charts. the total trail lenght that we rode was 12 miles, so it is good to double up with another ride if you want to make a full day of it. Bring a camera. Strong riders only. It is technical.

Recommended Route:
follow directions, rode it clockwise

Summary:
I asked the guys at Bike Zion in Springdale and they said that it was open and that many folks that live in the Anasazi subdivision ride this trail. Saw several homeowners and they all waved. Please be nice to them. It was a bit hard to follow some of the dots because they have faded but who cares. Had a blast. Very nice trail to use as a warm up for Gooseberry. They want to put this area in Zion Park boundaries closing it to us. Please don't!

Recommended Route:
ONLY ONE WAY IN.

Other recommended trails in the same area:

Summary:
Unless someone provides a real name and real phone number to contact regarding trail closure, consider this trail OPEN!!!!!!!!! Ignore the local losers and landowners that are desperately trying to shield their stolen gem from the rest of the world. Unfortunately, you can't steal GOD's gift to man, and your can't ban access to things you don't own. GO, GO, GO in thousands and maybe the locals will move away. LOSERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Recommended Route:
same as recommended
