mmm, like porcupine, 8mile round trip, very fun. hard pack some spots, and then technical climb, scenic, when you reach the top, it has an old pioneer building. very cool becasue of the stream all the way up. bring glasses on the bug seasons, they get in your eyes.

Summary:
"Like Porcupine"?? Who are we kidding? The only way this trail is like Porcupine is that you go downhill. This is a nice scenic trail b/c you follow along the river. The climb is a great aerobic workout and the bomb back down is as fast as you can trust your handling. Only be careful for TONS of hikers and bikers coming up. As far as technical, there is only one or two spots that might get you a lil' bit excited about if you're an intermediate. The pipe is great to pounce over!
I like to ride this trail when either i don't have much time or i still feel ambitious after doing another ride in the area.

Recommended Route:
Out & back..... you start at the mouth of the canyon and climb up to the end of the trail then bomb back down.

I like this trail because it starts at the base of the canyon - its very close. The trail itself is challenging, wide, shady, and fun. Give it a try

From the bottom of Little Cottonwood up and back
