Weekend Warrior Summary: A truly awesome ride. Great setting and varied riding, the trail takes very good advantage of the terrain. Not overly technical, some exposed sections and steep, loose, and tight switchbacks towards the end (the horses have not been kind to this trail). The last 1.5 miles begs to be ridden irresponsibley fast; I'd try to go during the week so as to miss the tourist rides. Recommended Route: As a loop up the paved trail and back down the dirt. Other recommended trails in the same area: Where to start?! Virgin River Rim, Marathon, Navajo Lake........

Cross Country Rider Summary: This is one of the best trails I have ever ridden in the west. Beautiful scenery and ample climbing for a good workout. Unfortunately the local horse ride service is using it a lot now. The trail was very dusty. If the area does not see rain during the summer, it will not be much fun in another couple of weeks. We road it last September and it was great. But the rainy season was going on. I would suggest not going until last August or early September. Other recommended trails in the same area: Navajo Lake, Virgin River Rim Trail.

Weekend Warrior Summary: up,down,up,down,up,down,up,down rinse and repeat....The down, down, down. What a great trail. Good workout and excellent technical challenges. A little bit tough trying to divide your attention between the dirt and the views. The paved part of the loop is pretty boring, the dirt part is fantastic. The last mile and half is the closest thing to a bobsled run you will ever do. Super smooth and flowing. All in all one of the best rides in the area. Other recommended trails in the same area: Go over to Brian Head and do any one of their great rides.

Cross Country Rider Summary: I rode this outstanding trail on 8-7-04 as a loop going up the paved bike path and dirt road to the Coyote Hollow trailhead. This is an easy climb even for us Clydesdales. The trail is worth a much harder climb. It climbs and descends several ravines (some of which I had to walk up), passes a view point with an outhouse and basically tops out at White Point which has a great view. It then descends several moderate switchbacks followed by some harder ones which lead to the most difficult and fun switches through the hoodoos. It crosses a creekbed and ends with about 2 miles of buff singletrack to the parking lot. I encountered 3 horses coming up the trail and 2 hikers with 4 dogs. The trail was so much fun that I came back the next day and rode in 5.2 miles from the east end and back just to do the ravines the other direction. I was able to power out of most of them in the middle ring. Personally, I think it's crazy to ride up the full length of this trail when there is such an easy alternative. Horses and hikers slow downhill mtb'ers enough. This is a great, scenic and moderately technical trail with ridable switches and rocky spots but no nasty drops. I think the danger of the ridge section is exagerrated. It is very short but the trail is wide and the incline not that steep. Recommended Route: Do the loop with the bike path climb. 16 miles. Beginners could have a lot of fun going up and back down the west 2 miles of buff singletrack. Other recommended trails in the same area: Didn't have time to do any others due to the family vacation but I'll be back.

Cross Country Rider Summary: Rode this trail in the first week of July 2004. It is awesome. The scenery is stunning and the trail is challening enough to keep an advanced rider honest. Ride up the trail and try and clean all the switchbacks, be warned it will be a serious workout for an advanced rider, but it is an awesome ride and bombing down the trail is great...just try stay focused on the trail and not the scenery...there could be some serious consequences Recommended Route: if you are a competent rider... definitely attempt the ride up the trail. It is all rideable Other recommended trails in the same area: Losee Canyon, Brianhead
