, from Salt Lake Summary: Serious epic!!!! Beutiful but a lot of climbing. The high basins are beutiful in late July and early August. Best of all there are no crowds. I was there on the 4th of July and only saw 2 ATV's and one sheephearder while riding. Recommended Route: Up the main road and back on any of the tri-canyon roads that drop to the bench and feed out to Lowry Fork. Other recommended trails in the same area: Petes Hole. Patton Trail. 12 Mile Flat.

Ridden Trail: Once a month

, from West Valley, Utah Summary: If you want to get away from the crowds, this is the place to do it. The descent is open enough to descend like a maniac, but it has enough suprises (rocks, ruts, roots, etc.) to come home with a broken body or bike, so be careful. Recommended Route: Ride it just as it is described. It is a wide and easily traveled road on the way up, and a screaming technical descent on the way down. Other recommended trails in the same area: Not a ride for the faint of heart. The road up to the top of Skyline drive is not techincal, but it is about 3000' of elevation gain ending at 10,000 feet. I also commonly see a ton of deer and elk on this ride. Note: there is also a campground at the resivor in Manti canyon -- $7 a night.
